Jack Quinnane - Executive Officer Australian Federation of Homelessness Organisations AFHO)Jack Quinane's career began in the youth housing and family support sector in regional NSW and Canberra working for a range of community organisations including St Vincent De Paul, Anglicare, Barnardo's and Southside Supported Accommodation for Youth. He was a member of the ACT Community Organisation Rental Housing Assistance Program Ministerial Advisory Committee, the ACT Youth Justice Coalition and a founding member of Canberra Community Housing for Young People. Jack was ACT Housings first Youth Housing Officer and also worked on community housing and tenant participation programs. He was policy officer at the ACT Office of Rental Bonds and then spent four years with ACT Planning as a social planner. From 1996 to April 2004, Jack worked for the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, including policy development on the National HIV/AIDS and Drug Strategies, spent two years as a section manager in the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, and then managed the Secretariat of the General Practice Partnership Advisory Council. Jack took up the position as Executive Officer with the Australian Federation of Homelessness Organisations (AFHO) in May 2004.
